We are quickly learning how much money is needed to build Jeffy's Field. Fortunately, we are surrounded by friends, family, a community, and organizations who are doing so much to help us reach this goal. Hair Cut A Thon for Jeffy's Field

The ladies of Salon Reve cut and trimmed their way to raise more than $1,200 for Jeffy's Fund at their Hair Cut A Thon February 22, 2009. A big thanks to them for devoting their Sunday to raising money for Jeffy's Field.

The chairs are full of patrons who each paid $20 for a great haircut. 100 percent of the proceeds went to Jeffy's Fund.

The entire advertising/public relations firm where Brian works continues to show its support for Jeff's Field by sporting 100 percent t-shirt participation.
Greenview Community's Softball Game for Jeff

On June 8th, 2007, The Hayek's neighbors put on a benefit softball game, kids' kickball game, and picnic to benefit Jeffrey's Fund. Despite the temperature in the high 90's the turnout was incredible. Proceeds from the games and food totaled more than $4,100. Special thanks to the Schlees, The Albrechts, The Ohms, and Landefelds for organizing the event, delicious grilled chicken by Joel Johnson, and outstanding photographs by Larry Rotter.

Oakdale Elementary Silent Auction

The Oakdale Elementary Hootenanny is an annual fundraiser for the school and a lot of fun for the kids. This year, a silent auction was part of the festivities and helped raised almost $6,000 for the Jeffrey Hayek Memorial Fund. Overseeing the bids are Betsy Little, Oakdale Elementary Principal, Diana Bergantino (Jeff's "grammie), Brian Hayek, Robin Hayek, and Karen Codichini (Jeff's 3rd grade teacher)

The silent auction for Jeff's field featured items such as round trip airfare on Air Tran, Redskins Tickets, and a quilt crafted by the elementary school's principal.
Oakdale Middle School "Heroes for Hayek"

Members of the Oakdale Middle School 8th grade class organized a Wii Guitar Hero competition to benefit Jeffrey's Fund. "Heroes For Hayek" awarded the top Guitar Hero player from each of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Entry fees raised more than $500 for the Fund. Organizers from left include Alex Borsa, Matt Albrecht, Tyler Ausherman, and Austin Goldstein.
